Shortly after my husband and I got married I started to decorate our home. My ideas were coming to life, but I knew something was missing. That’s when I realized I needed something green. I started to do some research and decided I would get indoor trees. I settled on the fiddle leaf fig tree. I bought mine from Busy Bee Garden Center. Many nurseries will have them, just call ahead and make sure they have them in stock.
After a few months my family and friends started to notice my trees and asked how I take care of them. That’s what prompted me to write this post. There’s a couple of items I would recommend when taking care of your trees.
- Find a nice sunny spot in your home
- Water your tree every 4 days or so with 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water, check your soil for dryness (that’s when you know to water)
- Speaking of water, check your drip pan. Make sure your tree’s roots aren’t sitting in water. It won’t be very happy with you
Lastly, enjoy your trees or any indoor plants for that matter. There are so many options for indoor plants and they can bring you so much joy to your bedroom, living room or sunroom.
All the best,
